Biogenic
Minerals (Icecal ehf) is an Icelandic company founded in 2014. Our main
activity centers around recycling and supplying sustainable high-quality marine
calcium from calcareous algae and discarded quahog shells from the clean waters
around Iceland.
With
a team boasting many decades of experience in valorizing ocean resources, We
have set our mission as the supply of an affordably priced sustainable calcium
for customers with an ecologically-friendly approach and interest in wellness.
Calcareous
Lithothamnium (algae-based calcium) is a natural marine source of calcium,
magnesium, and 72 other trace minerals — a better choice for calcium
fortification, as shown by research.
Another
natural, marine source of sustainable calcium is from ocean quahog shells
(Arctica Islandica); a better choice for the
environmentally conscious customer.
Through
certification and the implementation of sustainable production phases, we
constantly work on improving our environmental impact. We are committed to
